  Original post: Pomp and Pageantry is our go to place for an awesome prom dress. Update: We really loved pomp and pageantry at first. We went there for my daughter's junior and senior years dress and accessories. Their big selling point is that they register your dress. According to them they will not sell the same dress to anyone else at your school. My daughter's senior year they sold the same exact dress to 2 girls from the same school. A very small school at that. It was noticeable and I was sad for both girls. When I determined that the store had in fact done this, I reached out to them. I didn't want anything but I did want them to take responsibility and maybe explain how this happened. They got all the details from me and said they would look into it and then stopped replying. I know they opened messages and read them, but they no longer reply. I never got my answer as to how or why. Disappointed doesn't cover what I feel now. I thought they would always be my go to shop but now I won't ever go back again. If you pay for a high end dress and they say they are going to register it, you expect them to keep their word. At least I did.
